Florida's Sinkholes

1. Sinkholes are usually formed by a crack in underground limestone.
2. Florida has a lot of sinkholes because it has a lot of limestone underneath it.
3. More form, they get bigger, and the get more unstable.
4. They could be full of harmful waste.

Iceland Volcano

1. The plate techtonics moving caused a small earthquake that shook the volcano causing it to erupt
2. Because of the volcanic ash.
3. It is melting the ice, shooting smoke and steam into the air, and causing many people to flee from rising floodwaters.
4. Because the U.S. is far enough away from Iceland to not get affected.

Nashville Floods

1. The rising of the Cumberland River from 2 days of terrible thunderstorms was what caused the flooding in Nashville.

2. The Cumberland River was 50 feet above its normal water level.

3. All the water treetment plants in Nashville were submerged under the water from the floods. There for they could not pump out the water.

Windspires

1. I do not think GPN should raise money to instal a Windspire. As great as it would be to get a Windspire for GPN it is already hard to raise money for homecoming, prom, sports and clubs so it would be even harder to raise money for something that kids dont want as much.

2. I think neighbors would react in a negative way. They might complain that it is and eye soar or that it is in their way or too loud.

3. Windspires would help us because it is good for the enviornment. Also it will be cheaper in the long run because our electricity bill will be less each month.

4. Modern humans first appeared in the Holocene Epoch.

6. The last Ice Ages in Michigan happened during the Pleistone Period.
