The equinox hoax is when people think that you can balance an egg straight up. People think that on the Autumnal equinox the forces of the solar are aligned and you can balance the egg because of it.

This is a hoax because it is not true and whoever started this rumor intended for it to be a prank for the people who actually believe it.

Another science hoax is the Great Moon Hoax. People believe that NASA didn't have the good enough technology to land on the moon in 1960 and made it in a studio to win the "Space Race".
